Alright! So you’re at the point where you know that change is needed in your life. That’s great! So what’s next? Conventional wisdom says, “I need to set some goals.” Yes this is true. But in the goal setting process, many people forget to do this one important thing: Put it on paper.
Sounds simple enough right?! But most people don’t do it. Here are some quick reasons why it’s essential to put your goals on paper.
1. If you don’t write it down, it’s just a thought. Thoughts can change based on our circumstances and emotions. Writing your goal down will ensure that you have something to keep you focused as you move along your wellness journey.
2. We forget stuff. Million dollar ideas go in and out of our heads all the time. We want to make sure that at that major moment when we decide to get after our goal that we know exactly what it is. that our goal is clearly defined, pure, without any subtractions.
3. All of us need something to aim for. We all need vision. Your goal is similar to a vision statement for a company. Your goal will set the atmosphere for your value system to change in a way that will support the goals that you have set for yourself.
